Last Thursday I flew out to California to take a little breather and visit family. ❤️
While I was there, I rested, recharged, and still managed to get some work done along the way.

The beauty of building a business is this: it gives you freedom.
✔️ Freedom to show up for your loved ones.
✔️ Freedom to step away when you need to breathe.
✔️ Freedom to create a life that works for you.
What blew my mind is that the business I started earlier this year actually paid for this trip. 🙌🏾
And on my flight back, God reminded me again that He’s in this . He sat me right next to a couple already walking in the very business lane I’m striving toward. We talked the entire flight, and it was such an encouraging, God-ordained conversation.

I know this is only the beginning. If I keep honoring God and obeying His Word, the sky is the limit.
I was terrified to step out in faith, but I’m so glad I did.

✨ Tonight, I taught my very first live Canva class, and it was everything I prayed it would be. 🙌🏾 I was nervous, but God truly got the glory. What started as a simple idea became a space where church designers and creatives could come together, learn, and walk away with confidence.

For 90 minutes, I poured into them the same way God has poured into me. I taught not just the basics of Canva but how to design with intention and purpose. This is not just about making things “look pretty.” It is about equipping the church to communicate clearly, create with excellence, and reflect the One we serve in everything we do.

And y’all… the transformation was real. I heard how Canva once felt intimidating but after the class they felt, "I can do this." I listened to their excitement as they shared how much they learned, and I saw that spark of confidence that reminded me exactly why I said yes to this assignment.

If you have ever felt overwhelmed or unqualified to design for your ministry, I want you to know this: you are more capable than you think. And I am committed to helping you get there.

I didn’t plan to take photography seriously.
My husband bought me this camera to vlog.
But God had other plans. 🙏🏾

From serving at church to showing up for a business I didn’t see coming, I needed more than a kit lens could offer.

I’ve been making it work with the RF 50mm, but if you’ve ever shot with a crop sensor… you already know. I was all up in folks' faces at every shoot and at every service 😂

I’d been seeing @mpbcom on social media and finally decided to give them a try.
The process was super smooth and easy.
I could see the exact gear I was getting, and within a week it was at my door. Just like that.

I picked up two @sigmaphoto lenses:
📸 Sigma 17–50mm f/2.8 EX DC OS HSM
→ On my Canon R50 (APS-C crop), that’s roughly 27–80mm, a solid everyday zoom.

📸 Sigma 50–100mm f/1.8 DC HSM Art
→ On crop, that gives me about 80–160mm, perfect for tighter shots with dreamy compression.

The goal is to shoot with two cameras for now to avoid constant lens swapping.
I’ll pair one lens with my Canon R50 and the other with my Rebel T6. Not perfect, but it works.

Now listen… this setup is not exactly lightweight.
The R50 is tiny, and these lenses (plus the EF to RF adapter) are built like tanks.
Let’s just say if y’all see me looking stronger, it’s the gear, not the gym. 😅

But until I upgrade my camera body, this setup will hold me over.
We make do and we make it work. 💪🏾

I sat on this idea for over a year.
I doubted myself, my qualifications, overthought every little detail... and kept playing it small.

But these last few months , I finally decided to take my business seriously and God is doing what only He can do.

You might look at those numbers and think, That's not that much... but to me? It's a start.
God is showing me what's possible when I cultivate and steward what He gave me well.

This is what happened when I stopped hesitating and ran with the vision He gave me.

I am MINDBLOWN! 🤯

If you're still sitting on the idea he gave you.. this is your sign.
Get up and do something with it!
You dont need more time.
You dont need to have it all figured out.
It doesn't have to be perfect.
Just start.
Move in faith.
Put in the work.
& God will handle the rest

Loving... Humbling.
Not just in business, but in life… in ministry… in my home… in my time… in my mind.

Here are 5 things He's been teaching me in this season of surrender… in real-time.

1. I can't do everything, and I'm not called to be everything to everyone
I was stretching myself thin, trying to meet every need, carrying more than I was meant to… which led to burnout quick.

.
.
2. Free isn't sustainable
This one exposed me a little.
Stewardship isn't just about money… it's also about time.
And if I value the time God has given me, I can't give it away without purpose.
I have to charge my worth and double it for value.
.
.
.
3. Your home is your first assignment
This is the one where God let me have it.
Because I've been building… working non-stop
But my home was falling apart. Needs unmet. Tasks undone.
The very thing God blessed me with first, outside of salvation, was being neglected.
If your house is in chaos while your business is thriving… it’s time to do something different.

.
4. Some of my yeses should have been no
Overcommitting for an opportunity is not trusting God to be the source of all.
Every opportunity doesn’t align, and that’s okay.
I'm learning to guard my yes like it costs something, because it absolutely does.

5. Systems protect what you’re building
The vision was clear, but the process has been messy.
I definitely have to put more seamless systems in place if I want my business to be sustained.

I don’t have it all figured out, but I’m letting you know what God’s been teaching me while I’m building.
